My husband made a good point.
Muslims and Mormons are very strict teetotalers. What could they do if the rest of the country wants to drink alcohol? TOLERATE IT.
The pro-Prop 8 ad is so stupid. "Imposing acceptance of gay marriage"?? It's called TOLERANCE, idiots! Seriously, if you listen to all the words the ad says, it really makes no sense.
I thought of something else. Highly religious folks believe that marriage should remain between one man and one woman only (hahahaha those Mormons...) and that the law should not allow otherwise.
Whatever happened to separation of Church and State?
I suppose that means that I have never been a good Christian. Even when I was born-again, I never had any hatred for gays as much as many of these pro-Prop 8 people do. I have always respected other people's opinions and beliefs and never tried to convert Muslims, Buddhists, Taoists, gays, bisexuals, etc. (I draw the line at polygamy though, because that is just unsanitary.) I have many friends and family who are not Christian, but I RESPECT THEIR DECISION to not want to be Christian. They're adults, they're old enough to decide what they want.
So does not wanting to convert anybody make me a bad Christian or not a Christian at all? Does being more than tolerant for non-Christians make me a bad Christian?
Would anybody care to judge me? Anybody?
amen to that girl
